What AI in Business Process Optimisation Should Actually Look Like

In a recent discussion, I tackled common misconceptions about AI in business process optimisation.

AI goes beyond just using tools like ChatGPT or Copilot for email writing or creating formulas for Excel. It should drive measurable results, such as significantly cutting down task time or eliminating tasks completely.

This inspired me to create a demo showcasing real process optimisation: not a chat assistant bolted onto an existing routine, but a workflow re-thought so that the manual steps simply disappear.

That, in my opinion, is what AI implementation in business should look like, and the trap to avoid is "optimising" a process that should have been removed in the first place. Fix the process, then apply the intelligence.
